Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Travel Stepdown RN for a 13-week assignment in Quincy, Illinois. This role involves providing care to patients transitioning from intensive care, with responsibilities that include monitoring telemetry, administering medication, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN.
• Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) Certification is preferred.
• NIHSS Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments with a focus on cardiac care.
• Assist physician during cardiac-related procedures and examinations.
• Maintaining awareness of comfort and safety needs of telemetry patients.
• Document nursing history and physical assessment for assigned patients.
• Initiate patient education plans focusing on cardiac health.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
• Adhere to hospital safety protocols and regulatory standards.

About the Role

A Stepdown Registered Nurse provides care to patients who are transitioning from intensive care to medical‑surgical or general inpatient units. Responsibilities include monitoring telemetry, administering medication, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring patient safety.

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN
• Current valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
