13-week Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse travel assignment in Overland Park, KS, looking for a Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse.

Qualifications/Requirements:

1. One to three years experience as a Registered Nurse preferred
2. Other certifications may be required for this position
3. Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills
4. Ability to read/comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions
5. Physical Abilities: Remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), pushing, pulling, bending

Major Job Duties:

1. Communicates and collaborates with physicians and other health team members.
2. Provides and coordinates patient care with other health team members.
3. Monitors patients' responses to interventions and reports outcomes.
4. Administers medications as ordered with appropriate documentation.
5. Monitors and evaluates patients before, during, and post procedure depending on unit.
6. Shares on-call responsibilities with a 30-minute response time if required.
7. Maintains cleanliness of rooms and adequate stock of supplies.
8. Transports patients as needed.
9. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Essential Skills:

1. Interpersonal Skills - to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary).
2. Technical/Motor Skills - Ability to grasp, fine manipulation, pushing/pulling.
3. Mental Requirements - Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and meet deadlines under pressure.
4. Sensory - Visual acuity, ability to effectively communicate.

Other Requirements:
Step-down and intermediate care nursing experience is required. Must have a valid RN license in the state where they will be practicing, BLS certification, and Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) is preferred.
