Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel PCU RN for a 13-week assignment in Salem, Oregon. This travel position requires 12-hour nights and 48 hours per week, with duties including bedside care, IV starts, med administration, and monitoring cardiac and vital systems.

The PCU RN handles patients needing close observation but not ICU care, with emphasis on monitoring equipment and rapid response when needed. ACLS/BLS required, 1–2 years acute care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• 1-2 years of recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care; stabilize patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications.
• Monitor and interpret patient monitoring equipment.
• Initiate corrective action based on monitoring data.
