Job summary

Healthforce is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 13-week Travel assignment in San Antonio, TX, starting 09/23/2026. The role covers IMCU/PCU/Stepdown with 3x12-hour night shifts (1900–0730). Weekly pay ranges from $1,841 to $1,938 and onboarding is coordinated by HR.

You will provide direct clinical care, supervise care teams, monitor patient status, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to uphold high-quality, safe nursing care.

Qualifications

• Experience in IMCU/PCU/Stepdown or similar settings is preferred.
• Ability to work the night shift schedule (1900–0730).
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and patient-care documentation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise and coordinate care for patients and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.
• Willingness to complete onboarding procedures, including traveler badge issuance as required by HR.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical care to assigned patients on IMCU/PCU/Stepdown per shift, including assessment, planning, and implementation of care.
• Supervise staff to whom care is delegated and contribute to unit-level care delivery and resource management.
• Monitor patient status, implement care plans, document outcomes, and communicate changes to the charge nurse or unit leadership.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality, safe nursing care and to support ongoing competency and safety initiatives.
• Maintain clinical proficiency and compliance with infection control and facility policies; participate in performance improvement activities as needed.
