TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Akron, Ohio. The PCU RN will care for patients who require close monitoring and frequent assessment, including managing meds and IVs, and will work 12-hour night shifts on a travel assignment.

Ideal candidates have 1-2 years of recent acute care experience, with responsibilities including monitoring cardiac data and responding to changes in patient status.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years recent acute care experience.
• 13 weeks duration.
• 36 hours per week.
• Shift: 12 hours, nights.
• Travel employment type.

Responsabilités

• Provide basic bedside care for patients.
• Stabilize critical cardiac patients and manage care.
• Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Monitor and adjust equipment and interpret electronic displays.
• Initiate corrective action based on monitoring data.
