Job summary

TotalMed is seeking a Travel RN for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in Auburn, NY. This 13-week assignment requires 48 hours per week with 12-hour night shifts. The PCU RN will monitor vitals, manage meds, and provide focused patient assessment in a fast-paced step-down environment.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of acute care experience and current ACLS/BLS certifications. NIH or NIHSS certifications may be required before starting.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of recent acute care nursing experience.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• NIH (NIHSS) certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and stabilize cardiac patients.
• Monitor patient status and administer medications as prescribed.
• Operate and interpret monitoring equipment and IVs.
• Record care and report adverse reactions to treatment.
• Coordinate with care teams for patient safety.
