Job summary

TotalMed RN in Columbus, OH is seeking a PCU Travel Nurse for a 16-week assignment starting 11/16/2026. This position is in the Progressive Care Unit with 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week.

The RN will monitor patients requiring close observation, manage medications, and operate monitoring equipment. The role demands a fast-paced environment, physical stamina, and the ability to lift patients when needed.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS and NIH certifications required.
• 1–2 years recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care; stabilize critical cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
• Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, and interpret and record electronic displays.
• Initiate corrective action whenever information from monitoring equipment shows adverse symptomatology.
