Great location in southern Alaska! Come enjoy the beautiful scenery of southern AK this Winter! Large, traveler-friendly hospital. PCU is a 36 bed fast paced unit. 60-75% of census turns over in 24-hour period. There is also a 10 bed overflow unit, PCU North. Nurse may also float as needed to the neuro tele unit. Nurse/patient ratio is 1:4 days and 1: 4-5 nights. Previous travel experience required. Unit also has a monitor tech 24 hours/day and a Health Unit Coordinator for about 16 hours per day. Both day shift and night shift have a charge RN who does not take patients.
