Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (PCICU) in Aurora, Colorado for a 13‑week assignment starting 11/03/2026. This travel role requires 1 year of PCICU experience, BLS and PALS certifications, with 36 hours per week on 12‑hour rotating shifts.

You will provide high‑level pediatric critical care, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, document care in the EHR, and support families through complex conditions while ensuring patient safety.

Qualifications

• RN with ICU/PICU experience preferred.
• PALS and BLS certifications required.
• ACLs may be required depending on assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to pediatric PCICU patients including post-op and critical conditions.
• Monitor vital signs, rhythms, oxygenation, and hemodynamics continuously.
• Administer medications and manage IV drips and sedatives per protocol.
• Assist with ventilator management and airway support as needed.
• Document assessments, interventions, and family communications in EHR.
• Educate families on care plans, recovery expectations, and warning signs.
