Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN PACU - Post Anesthesia Care for a travel assignment in Shreveport, LA. You will assist in recovering patients from anesthesia and monitor post-op recovery, with 40-hour weeks and evenings 8-hour shifts.

The ideal candidate holds an active RN license, BLS and ACLS, and 18 months PACU experience in acute care. Travel benefits include weekly pay, housing allowance, and credentialing fee coverage.

Qualifications

• Active RN License.
• Degree from accredited nursing program.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care PACU setting.
• Other requirements determined by client facility.

Responsibilities

• Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) RN will assist in recovering patients from anesthesia.
• Monitor patients as they awaken from surgery and discharge or transfer as needed.
• Provide care for post-operative patients including general, regional, and local anesthesia considerations.
• Diligent monitoring, assessment, intervention, and reassessment of patients.
