Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced PACU RN for an academic medical center assignment in Shreveport, LA. The role requires ACLS, PALS, and current PACU experience; on-site duties include PACU care with a 1:2 ratio and potential 1:4 overflow coverage.

Expect on-call every 3rd weekend, with holiday coverage. Active LA license and NURSYS are required; compensation includes weekly pay and benefits support.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of PACU experience required.
• Active LA or compact RN license required.
• Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications (AHA-issued).
• NURSYS report required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Work in the PACU unit of an academic medical center.
• Patient ratio 1:2, may increase to 1:4 during overflow.
• On-call required every 3rd weekend, volunteers typically, 7a–7p or 7p–7a.
• Holiday coverage is included in the call schedule.
