Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a PACU RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Windsor, VT. The role focuses on post-anesthesia care, recovery assessments, and collaboration with the surgical team to ensure safe patient discharge or transfer.

Qualifications

• One year of recent PACU RN experience.
• Valid RN license in compliance with Vermont regulations.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification.
• ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification.

Responsibilities

• Receive and assess patients transferring from the operating room and evaluate post-anesthesia condition.
• Monitor vital signs, consciousness, and recovery from anesthesia.
• Administer prescribed medications and post-anesthesia treatments.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety during recovery.
• Document assessments, interventions, and recovery progress in medical records.
• Collaborate with the surgical team for comprehensive post-operative care.
• Communicate handoffs to ensure continuity between OR, PACU, and post-PACU units.
• Operate PACU equipment such as ventilators and monitors.
