Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing seeks a travel nurse RN PACU for a 13-week assignment in Midland, Texas. The PACU RN provides specialized care to patients recovering from anesthesia and surgery, conducts assessments, and collaborates with the surgical team to coordinate discharge planning.

Requirements include one year PACU RN experience, valid RN license, and current BLS and ACLS certifications. PALS or ENPC are preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of PACU RN experience.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• PALS or ENPC certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients recovering from anesthesia and surgery.
• Monitor vital signs and recovery progress.
• Administer prescribed medications per PACU protocols.
• Coordinate with surgical team for discharge planning.
• Document assessments and care provided in patient records.
• Respond to emergencies using PACU standards and policies.
• Provide patient and family education on post-anesthesia care.
