TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PACU - Post Anesthesia Care for a travel nursing job in Tucson, Arizona. This unit requires observation and care for post-op patients as they recover from anesthesia, with 12-hour day shifts and a 36-hour work week over a 13-week assignment.

The PACU RN will monitor patients, develop care plans, and liaise with physicians. This travel role demands flexibility, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and strong communication across ages and backgrounds.

Qualifications

• Requires BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification.
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience.
• Additional certifications may be required before starting assignment.

Responsibilities

• Handle a broad range of patients from pediatrics to adults.
• Develop individualized care plans based on each patient's condition.
• Monitor critical patients for condition changes and report to the physician.
• Determine when patients are recovered and ready to move to a room.
• Stand and walk for long periods, and lift up to 50 pounds when needed.
• Manage stress in a fast-paced PACU environment and relate to diverse patients.
