Medical Solutions is seeking a Travel Nurse RN for PACU - Post Anesthesia Care in Albany, GA. You will work 12-hour daytime shifts, 36 hours per week, with a travel assignment of 17 weeks.

Qualifications

Must hold current RN license and ACLS/PALS/CPR certifications.
Experience in Hospital PACU with general, regional, and conscious sedation recovery.
Comfort with 12-hour shifts and travel.
Ability to cover on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

Provide PACU care for post-anesthesia patients across age groups.
Monitor vitals, ventilators, drains, and airway devices.
Administer medications and manage pain and nausea post-op.
Respond to emergencies and participate in rapid response as needed.

Estimated pay package based on bill rate at time job was posted. Bill rates can

We need a nurse that has experience with Hospital Post Anesthesia Recovery including General, Regional and Conscious Sedation recovery for all age ranges and patient types.

Work 3 twelve hour shifts a week PLUS cover call in our current call rotation. This includes 2-3 weeknight call shifts in a four week schedule AND every 4th weekend (Rotates monthly Days/Nights for 12 Hr shifts and must be in the unit within 30- mins when called).

Must have Certifications: ACLS / PALS / CPR

Experience in the Following Skills:

Drains: Cranial /Spinal/ Hemovacs/ Chest Tubes
Airway Management including OAW, NAW, OETT and extubation
Ventilators, Trach and OETT Care
Hemodynamic Monitoring
Malignant Hyperthermia
Knowledge of Post Op Pain, Nausea and B/P medications
Knowledge and understanding of medications used during general anesthesia.
Initiation and maintenance of drips (Heparin, Sedation and Pressers)
Fundal Massages, Post-Partum Hemorrhage Management, and knowledge of common OB complications & management.
Bladder Irrigation Maintenance
Vascular: Post op Carotid Care including neuro assessments, Sheath removal and site monitoring, A-lines (Maintenance & Removal).
