Job summary

Medical Solutions is seeking a travel nurse RN PACU - Post Anesthesia Care for a travel nursing position in Peoria, Illinois. The role requires RN licensure in Illinois, BLS and ACLS, and 2+ years of Pre/Post Op experience.

Shifts are 12 hours (days), 36 hours per week, with a 13-week contract. Housing may be provided through the agency; compensation remains package-based with payer-specific stipends and per diem as applicable.

Qualifications

IL RN license required
BLS & ACLS certifications required
Minimum 2 years Pre/Post Op experience
Ability to start IVs and access lines in PACU
Experience with EPIC or similar charting systems

Responsibilities

General duties in PACU including patient assessment and recovery
Float to other units as needed; coordinate with perioperative team
Follow unit protocols and safety standards; document care
Assist with admissions, IVs, and patient transfers

Responsibilities and Requirements

1. General job duties. Types of procedures required. To work as a float - start IV's, assits & admissions
2. Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.)EPIC
3. Required skills and minimum years of experience. Able to start IVs using Lidocaine 2 years Pre/Post Op experience
4. Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. (ARRT, CRT, BLS, ACLS, etc) IL RN license, BLS, ACLS
5. Shift or schedule requirements. (Will the employee ever work alone? Is call required? If so, how often? Are weekends required?) 0600-1430 Monday-Friday
6. Floating to other units/departments. (If so, to which units/departments?) n/a
7. Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept. 22 beds
8. Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. (nursing only) 1:1 Pre Op 1:2 Phase 2
9. Dress Code: Hospital provided scrubs
