Job summary

ConnectedHealth is seeking a Travel PACU Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract in Grants, New Mexico. Provide compassionate care to patients recovering from anesthesia in a focused clinical environment.

You will monitor vitals, manage pain and airway, administer medications, and document care in the EMR while collaborating with surgeons and perioperative teams. Active NM RN license with ACLS/BLS and recent PACU experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• ADN required.
• Active NM RN license eligible for practice.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required.
• Recent PACU experience is required.
• Experience with EMRs is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to PACU patients.
• Monitor vital signs, airway, pain, and consciousness.
• Assess for complications and respond to status changes.
• Administer medications and IV therapies per orders.
• Manage postoperative pain and nausea.
• Document care in the electronic medical record.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perioperative team.
• Educate patients and families on recovery and discharge.
• Follow infection control and hospital policies.
