Job summary
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an Outpatient setting in Rio Rico, Arizona. This travel assignment requires 1 year of outpatient experience and AZ licensure if applicable, with day shifts 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
You will supervise PT assistants and PT technicians and contribute to ergonomic assessments and functional rehab. Open to first-time travelers, this position offers a 13-week assignment with 40 hours per week in a clinic treating orthopedic, neurologic, and post-op
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year outpatient PT experience required.
- AZ PT license required if applicable, must be obtained before start date and in good standing.
- BLS certification required.
- Charting system experience (EMR) required.
- Skilled in home exercise program development and patient/family education.
- Knowledge of billing codes for various payer types.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients per physician referral or direct access.
- Maintain communication with referring physicians with timely notes.
- Provide weekly updates to rehab nurses on patient progress.
- May assist with scheduling, answering phones and taking referrals.
