Wellspring Nurse Source is seeking a travel Outpatient Physical Therapist for a travel assignment in Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan. This 10-week assignment runs 40 hours per week with days shifts.

As the PT you will evaluate functions, develop goal-oriented treatment plans, document care, schedule sessions, and educate patients and families. Michigan licensure and BLS are required, with outpatient experience preferred. The posting notes a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Physical Therapist in an outpatient setting is required.
• Must hold an active Michigan Physical Therapist License.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Skills checklist relevant to Physical Therapy updated within the last year.
• Two supervisory reference forms completed within the past two years.

• Scheduling: Develop a treatment schedule that details frequencies and durations, and discuss this with patients, families, or caregivers, while coordinating with clinical support staff.
• Patient Education: Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the patient's condition, treatment alternatives, prognosis, and rationale for treatment through various interventions including rest, exercise, and modalities.
