Job Summary

Physical Therapist, Outpatient, Blue Hill, Maine. This outpatient role provides individual evaluations and treatments for primarily adult and school-aged patients in a rural community setting. The position supports post-operative, geriatric, work-related, neurological, and general physical therapy needs.

Job Details

• Schedule: Monday through Thursday, four 10-hour shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., totaling 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Minimum of 1 year of outpatient physical therapy experience; Maine physical therapist license; Bachelors degree or higher; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; experience with manual therapy, exercise science, patient education, and education on adaptive equipment such as walkers, canes, and crutches.
• Additional Information:
  • Provides individual 60-minute evaluations and treatments.
  • Patient population includes adults, school-aged children without developmental diagnoses, post-orthopedic and post-spinal surgery patients, geriatric patients, individuals with work-related injuries, and patients with neurological imbalance.
  • Orientation includes an initial introduction followed by approximately 1 to 1.5 weeks of supervised training with a staff member while the patient load gradually increases.
  • No weekend rotation or on-call responsibilities.
  • The facility is closed on major holidays and may operate on 50% of minor holidays.
  • Attire may include solid-color scrubs or business casual clothing.
