Job summary

TotalMed Allied seeks a travel Physical Therapist for an immediate assignment in Plains, MT. The PT will evaluate patients, develop and execute plans of care, and collaborate with the acute care team in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Requirements include 6 months of PT experience (1 year preferred, 6 months acceptable for strong backgrounds), BLS, and state licensure. Travel position with 10-hour days and a 40-hour workweek.

Qualifications

• 6 months of experience required; 1 year preferred, 6 months may be accepted for exceptional candidates.
• BLS certification and state licensure required.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and develop a plan of care for diverse patient populations in acute care.
• Create and modify plan of care as indicated by patient condition.
• Coordinate with Medical Center staff to ensure team-based care.
• Document timely and accurate records per state/insurer guidelines.

We are looking for a Physical Therapist (PT) for an immediate travel opening in Plains, MT. The right PT should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted. Read below for additional requirements. As a PT, you will be responsible for the evaluation, development, and execution of a plan of care for a variety of patient populations in the acute care setting.

Tasks

As a PT, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks: Oversee supervising PTAs, support staff (therapy technicians)Bill within the respective setting, following guidelines within settings for facilityUnderstand the respective PT board's rules and regulations, complying within respective stateInterface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure team-focused plan of careUnderstand adaptive equipmentEvaluate and create a plan of careModify plan of care as indicated based on patient's conditionUse Medical Center computer systems in performance of daily tasksProvide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines

Requirements

Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply. Must have BLS and state-specific licensing. Physical Therapists should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. PTs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
