Job summary

TotalMed Allied seeks a travel Occupational Therapy Assistant for an Edison, New Jersey assignment. This 13-week travel role is 30 hours per week, with 8-hour day shifts under the supervision of an OT to help patients develop daily living skills.

The ideal candidate has 1 year OTA experience, current BLS and NBCOT (COTA), and state licensure. You will deliver therapy activities, monitor progress, document outcomes, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• 1 year of OTA experience.
• Current BLS and NBCOT (COTA) certifications required.
• State licensure required for practice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic activities and interventions under the supervising OT.
• Monitor patient progress and report observations to the OT.
• Document patient performance accurately per guidelines.
• Assist patients with exercises and mobility training.
• Educate patients and families to improve independence.
• Maintain treatment areas and equipment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team for coordinated care.
• Comply with licensing rules and facility standards.
