Responsibilities

• Review patients' medical history, ask questions, and observe them performing tasks.
• Evaluate a patient's condition and needs to plan care.
• Develop a treatment plan with specific goals and activities.
• Assist patients with activities related to daily living.
• Evaluate home or workplace for safety and accessibility.
• Educate family and employer on patient care and accommodations.
• Recommend equipment and instruct on use of equipment.
• Document patient progress for evaluations and reporting.
