Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for an assignment in Oakland, CA. The OT will evaluate patients, develop plans of care, and document progress in an acute care setting. The position requires NBCOT-OTR certification, CA licensure, and at least 6 months of OT experience (1 year preferred).

Shifts are 7 hours with 35 hours per week over a 13-week duration. New grads may apply; a BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• 1 year of OT experience required; 6 months for exceptional candidates with relevant background.
• Must hold NBCOT-OTR certification and state license; BLS is required.
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods; knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop plans of care to improve daily living skills.
• Document progress in accordance with state/insurance guidelines.
• Assess home/work environments for accessibility and safety.
• Educate patients, families and employers on care needs and equipment.
