American Traveler is seeking a travel Outpatient Occupational Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Alpena, Michigan. The role emphasizes outpatient OT care with an active Michigan license and BLS required.

You will work 40 hours per week with day shifts; one weekend per month; no on-call. Placement requires residency outside a 50-mile radius. We offer per diem housing stipends, comprehensive benefits, and support throughout the assignment.

Qualifications

• Outpatient OT experience required
• Active BLS certification (AHA) required
• Active Michigan OT license required
• Skills checklist current within 1 year, pertinent to Occupational Therapy
• Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient function through formal and informal testing across skeletal, neurological, respiratory, cardiovascular, developmental, social, and cognitive domains
• Develop and update goal-specific treatment plans based on assessment data and patient tolerance
• Coordinate treatment plans with physicians and co-sign verbal orders from OTAs as needed
• Devise treatment schedules in coordination with patients, families, and clinical support staff
• Provide education to patients, families, and caregivers regarding condition, prognosis, and treatment rationale
• Supervise Occupational Therapist Assistants, Home Health Aides, and students per regulatory standards
