Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist (OT) for a 13-week assignment in Yakima, Washington. The OT will evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, and work with diverse patient populations in the acute care setting.

Requires NBCOT OTR and state licensure, and BLS certification, with or without 6–12 months of experience. The role involves standing/walking for long periods, performing assessments, and educating families.

Qualifications

• BLS certification is required.
• NBCOT OTR Certification with state licensing required.
• Must have 6 months of OT experience; new grads may apply.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Review patients' medical history and observe tasks.
• Evaluate patient condition and needs; develop a plan of care.
• Educate family and employer on care needs and accommodations.
• Assess home or workplace for safety and accessibility.
• Recommend equipment and instruct on proper use.
• Document progress for evaluations, billing and physicians.
