Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Hollywood, Florida. The OT will work 40 hours per week, with 8-hour day shifts, performing comprehensive assessments, developing treatment plans, and educating patients and families.

Must have 1 year of experience, or 6 months for exceptional candidates, with BLS and NBCOT-OTR certification and state licensing. Responsibilities include evaluating patients, creating goals, planning activities, and documenting

Qualifications

• 6 months of experience is required; new grads are encouraged to apply.
• BLS and NBCOT-OTR certification with state licensing.
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods and knowledge of anatomy/physiology.

Responsibilities

• Review patients' medical history and observe tasks.
• Evaluate condition and needs; develop a treatment plan with goals and activities.
• Assist patients with daily tasks and adapt home/work environments.
• Educate family and employer on care and accommodations.
• Recommend equipment and instruct usage.
• Record activities and progress for evaluations and billing.
• Provide timely documentation per state/insurance guidelines.
