Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for an assignment in Alameda, CA. The role requires 1 year of OT experience, with 6 months acceptable for exceptional candidates. Immediate travel opening with 18 weeks duration and 40 hours per week, days shift.

Requirements include BLS and NBCOT-OTR certification with state licensing. OT duties include evaluation, treatment planning, home/workplace assessments, and patient education. Travel: travel-friendly and hospital/clinic settings.

Qualifications

• 1 year of OT experience; exceptional candidates with 6 months may be considered.
• BLS and NBCOT-OTR with state licensing are required.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods and knowledge of anatomy/physiology.

Responsibilities

• Review patients' medical history, observe tasks, and assess needs.
• Evaluate condition and plan treatment with specific goals.
• Develop and implement a treatment plan with activities to meet goals.
• Assist patients with tasks and assess home/workplace for improvements.
• Educate family and employer on accommodations and care.
• Recommend equipment and instruct patients on use.
• Document progress for evaluations, billing, and physician reporting.
• Provide timely documentation per state and insurance guidelines.
