Job summary

Genesis HealthCare is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant – Journey Traveler to travel nationwide on 13-week assignments, providing OT services under supervision and collaborating with the rehab team to improve patient independence. You will implement treatment plans, attend care conferences, and document outcomes across diverse settings.

Applicants must graduate from an ACOTE/ AOTA-accredited OTA program, hold NBCOT certification, and be licensed or eligible for licensure.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program according to AOTA & ACOTE standards.
• Initial certification obtained from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
• Licensed and/or eligible for licensure as required in the state of practice.
• Available to travel to and temporarily reside outside of primary home.

Responsibilities

• Travel nationwide for 13-week assignments.
• Implement occupational therapy programs and treatments under supervision.
• Attend patient care and staffing conferences as a representative of occupational therapy.
• Deliver OT interventions including cognitive skills, strength, mobility and ADLs.
• Maintain timely documentation and organize treatment groups with the OT team.
