Job summary

TotalMed Allied seeks an Occupational Therapist for a 14-week travel assignment in Chelsea, Michigan. The OT will work 40 hours per week in day shifts, 8 hours per day, supporting patients across settings while adhering to state and insurance guidelines.

Requirements include 1 year of experience (6 months may be considered for exceptional backgrounds), BLS and NBCOT-OTR certification with state licensing. The role offers a tax-free stipend and benefits with travel staffing support.

Qualifications

• BLS and NBCOT-OTR certifications required.
• State-specific OT licensure required.
• 1 year of OT experience preferred; 6 months may be considered for strong candidates.

Responsibilities

• Review patients' medical history and observe tasks.
• Evaluate patient condition and needs.
• Develop and adjust treatment plans with goals and activities.
• Assist patients with activities despite disabilities.
• Assess home/workplace needs and recommend improvements.
• Educate family and employer on care accommodations.
• Recommend equipment and instruct use.
• Document activities and progress for evaluations and billing.
• Provide timely documentation per state/insurance guidelines.
