Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for a travel assignment in Walla Walla, Washington. The role covers evaluation, treatment planning, and patient education across acute care settings in diverse patient populations.

Expect a 13-week engagement at 40 hours per week with 8-hour day shifts. Start date is 11/30/2026. Must hold BLS and NBCOT-OTR certifications and valid state licensure to practice as an OT.

Qualifications

• OT with 1 year of experience required; exceptional candidates with 6 months may be considered.
• Must have BLS and NBCOT-OTR certifications with state-specific licensing.
• OTs should be able to stand/walk for long periods and have strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Review patients' medical history, ask questions, and observe them performing tasks.
• Evaluate patient condition and needs to develop a care plan.
• Develop a treatment plan with specific goals and activities to achieve them.
• Assist patients with daily tasks and improve function.
• Assess home or workplace for accessibility improvements.
• Educate patients' families and employers about accommodations and care requirements.
• Recommend equipment and instruct its use.
• Document patient progress for evaluations and billing according to guidelines.
