Job summary

National Staffing Solutions-Therapy is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for a travel job in Selma, North Carolina. This 13-week assignment offers 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with an 8-hour shift and ASAP start.

As an Outpatient OT (OTR/L), you will evaluate and treat patients, develop and adjust treatment plans, document progress, and communicate with patients and families. Licensure in the state, current BLS, and ACOT program graduate status are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Occupational Therapy Program.
• Occupational Therapy license / Licensure in the state of practice.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Tests and evaluates the extent of a patient's disability to ensure proper treatment using various tests and procedures.
• Plans therapy program, establishes treatment goals and administers treatment to restore body functions, strength, relieve pain and prevent disability through the use of various therapeutic techniques and procedures.
• Provides patients and family members with treatment plan and instructions for home exercise programs and pain relief techniques.
• Upgrades treatment plan and goals as patient progresses.
• Regularly assesses clinical signs and symptoms to determine effectiveness of treatment, progress of patient towards goals and the need for modifying goals and treatment.
• Discharges patient from occupational therapy when the patient has received maximum benefit from occupational therapy.
• Provides accurate and timely documentation of Occupational therapy management and patient management.
• Maintains appropriate medical records, documentation for each patient including evaluation, treatment and progress
