Job summary

Rodeo Dental & Orthodontics in Tucson, AZ is seeking an orthodontic dental assistant to support our doctors across multiple locations, including travel to CO locations. You will provide chairside assistance, prepare trays, take X-rays, assist with bonding and debonding, and help with impression making while ensuring patient comfort and efficient procedures.

Spanish language skills preferred. Experience with elastic treatment and maintaining patient records is expected.

Qualifications

• Orthodontic dental assistant experience required.
• DA Certificate or equivalent certification.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred to assist diverse patients.
• Willing to support multiple locations nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontist in patient treatment and chairside support.
• Explain elastic treatment to patients.
• Prepare tray setups per doctor preferences.
• Capture diagnostic X-rays and attach to patient chart.
• Mix amalgam/cement and prepare impression materials.
• Pour, trim, and polish impression trays.
• Assist with bonding, banding, debonding and orthodontic procedures.
• Place and cement bands and set up brackets.
• Provide retainers and bleaching trays as needed.
• Maintain excellent patient flow and anticipate next steps with doctor.
• Take initial/progress/de-bond photos and scans for clear aligners.
• Travel to CO locations as required.
