Job summary

Rodeo Dental & Orthodontics is seeking a dedicated Orthodontic Dental Assistant to support multiple Colorado locations. You will assist the orthodontist, take diagnostic X-rays, prepare trays, and help with bonding, brackets, and impressions while traveling between CO offices.

Qualified candidates will have Orthodontic DA experience and a DA certificate; bilingual Spanish is preferred. We offer PTO, company-paid life insurance, medical, vision, disability coverage, 401(k), HSA, and opportunities

Responsibilities

• Assist with orthodontist in treating patients.
• Take diagnostic quality X-rays and attach to chart.
• Prepare tray setups and materials for procedures.
• Bonding, banding, debonding orthodontic patients; place and cement brackets.
• Travel to multiple Colorado locations as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Willing to support multiple locations
• Orthodontic DA Experience

• Open to support mutliple locations

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Assist with Orthodontist in treating patient
• Instruct patient of elastic treatment
• Preparing tray set-ups according to doctor preferences and planned procedures
• Taking diagnostic quality X-Rays and attaching them to the patient chart
• Mixing amalgam, cement, and preparing impression materials
• Pouring, trimming, and polishing impression trays
• Assisting with bonding, banding, adjusting, and debonding orthodontic patients
• Placing and cementing bands
• Setting up orthodontic brackets and removing excess cement from brackets and bands
• Making retainers, bleaching trays, and impressions
• Providing excellent chairside assistance and anticipating next steps to stay in constant mental synchronization with the doctor
• Taking patient initial, progress, and de-bond photos
• Taking scans of patients for clear aligners or models
• Travel to our CO locations

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Prolonged sitting and standing as needed
• Ability to lift up to 15 lbs
