Job summary

Gifted Healthcare is seeking an Orthopedic RN in Tulsa, OK to provide specialized care for patients with fractures, degenerative conditions, or post-surgical recovery. The role involves casting and neurovascular assessments, as well as ongoing monitoring of vitals and the surgical site.

The RN will educate patients on daily tasks and connect them with available assistance programs and support groups, working the night shift schedule of 3x12.

Responsibilities

• Execute casting, external fixation care, neurovascular status monitoring, traction, and continuous motion therapy.
• Monitor and record vital signs, monitor the surgical site, and inform doctors of any changes with the patient’s condition.
• Teach patients new methods for performing personal tasks and provide information regarding assistance programs, support groups, and other resources.

Job description

Orthopedic RNs (Ortho RNs) provide care to patients who have bone fractures, degenerative diseases, joint replacement surgery, or other conditions that affect the bones and muscles. Orthopedic RN job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Execute casting, external fixation care, neurovascular status monitoring, traction, and continuous motion therapy
• Monitor and record vital signs, monitor the surgical site, and inform doctors of any changes with the patient’s condition
