Job summary

North American Dental Group’s Grove Dental practice in Wheaton, IL is looking for a Travel Oral Surgery Assistant to support surgeons during procedures, perform chair-side care, charting, operatory prep and clean-up, and help maintain a safe, friendly environment.

This part-time position requires a Dental Assisting Certification (or equivalent on-the-job training), radiography certification, CPR, and solid communication with patients.

Qualifications

• Dental Assisting Certification or prior on-the-job training.
• Radiography/X-Ray certification (state-specific).
• Current CPR certification.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to surgeons during procedures including preparation and documentation.
• Provide chair-side clinical support and assistance to Doctors including charting and operatory setup/cleanup.
• Communicate professionally with team and patients in a service-oriented manner.
• Take dental radiographs/x-rays and cone-beam scans.
• Maintain a clean and sterile operatory and prepare areas to health regulations.
• Provide post-operative instructions and patient education.
• Take impressions and pour up plaster diagnostic models.
