Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a 13-week assignment in San Francisco, CA. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced surgical setting with a dedicated team and competitive pay.

You will ensure patient safety, prepare the OR, assist the surgical team, and maintain sterile technique while adapting to a travel schedule. A current RN license, OR experience, and BLS are required; ACLS/PALS or CNOR are a plus, with benefits and housing

Qualifications

• One year of OR RN experience required.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• ACLs/PALS or ENPC certifications preferred.
• CNOR OR nursing certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room and ensure sterile field.
• Assist in positioning and prepping patients for surgery.
• Maintain sterile technique and infection control throughout procedures.
• Anticipate needs of the surgical team and supply instruments promptly.
• Monitor patient condition during surgery and document changes.
• Handle instruments, sterilization, and disposal per protocol.
• Document perioperative patient care and handoff communication.
• Restock and clean the OR between cases following protocols.
