Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Camden, SC. The role includes a 13-week assignment with 40 hours per week, days shift, and travel benefits provided by the agency.

The Operating Room RN will prep the OR, manage surgical equipment, and collaborate with the perioperative team to ensure patient safety and high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as an Operating Room RN.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Prepares the operating room and ensures instruments and sterile supplies are ready for each procedure.
• Assists in positioning and preparing patients for surgery, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Maintains a sterile field and adheres to infection control protocols throughout procedures.
• Monitors patient conditions during surgery and notifies the surgeon of changes.
• Documents all aspects of perioperative patient care and participates in handoffs between pre- and post-operative phases.
