Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Florence, South Carolina. The Operating Room RN will join a dedicated perioperative team to provide high-quality patient care throughout the perioperative process.

Qualifications

• One year of recent OR RN experience.
• Current RN license in South Carolina or applicable state.
• Active BLS certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room with instruments and sterile supplies.
• Position and prep patients for surgery, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Maintain sterile field and follow infection control protocols.
• Assist team by providing instruments and supplies as needed.
• Monitor patient status during surgery and document changes.
• Handle instruments and specimens per facility protocols.
• Document care in the perioperative record.
• Participate in pre-/post-op handoffs for continuity of care.
• Restock and clean the OR between cases.
• Collaborate with surgical team to meet facility standards.
