Responsibilities

• Provide surgical patient care by assessing, planning, and implementing the nursing care before, during and after surgery
• Serve as circulating nurse and/or scrub nurse as needed
• Circulating OR nurses work outside the sterile field while scrub nurses handle instruments and equipment
