Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Travel OR RN for an Operating Room assignment in Reston, Virginia. The role involves providing perioperative nursing care for surgical patients, with a 12-hour day shift on a 13-week travel assignment, 36 hours per week.

Requirements include an active RN license, 18 months of acute care surgery experience, a nursing degree from an accredited program, and BLS & ACLS certifications. Travel benefits and housing options are included.

• 18 months of recent experience in an Acute Care Surgery setting.
• Active RN License.
• Degree from an accredited nursing program.
• BLS & ACLS Certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide surgical patient care by assessing, planning, and implementing the nursing care patients receive before, during and after surgery.
• Serve as circulating nurse and/or scrub nurse as needed.
• Circulating OR nurses work within the operating suite but outside of the sterile field.
• Scrub OR nurses handle and prepare operating instruments and equipment within the sterile field.
