Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing seeks a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Oak Lawn, Illinois. The assignment runs for 13 weeks with 40 hours per week on day shifts, starting 10/26/2026.

The OR RN will provide perioperative nursing care before, during, and after surgery, and may act as circulator and/or scrub nurse. Candidates must have an RN license and at least 18 months of acute care OR experience, plus BLS & ACLS.

Qualifications

• 18 months of recent experience in an Acute Care Surgery setting
• Active RN License
• Degree from an accredited nursing program
• BLS & ACLS Certifications

Responsibilities

• Provide surgical patient care by assessing, planning, and implementing the nursing care patients receive before, during and after surgery.
• The OR nurse / OR RN also serves as patient educator, circulating nurse and/or scrub nurse.
• Circulating OR nurses work within the operating suite but outside of the sterile field.
• Scrub OR nurses handle and prepare operating instruments and equipment within the sterile field.
