Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel OR RN for a 13-week assignment in Peoria, IL. The RN will support the operating room team during nights, 12-hour shifts, and rotate with perioperative services. Start date 10/26/2026, with competitive pay and benefits.

The ideal candidate has one year OR experience, an active RN license in Illinois, and BLS certification. ACLS/PALS/ENPC and CNOR are preferred. Travel personnel receive comprehensive support and references to assist this journey.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as an Operating Room RN.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Prepares the operating room by ensuring all required instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies are ready for each surgical procedure.
• Assists in positioning and preparing patients for surgery, addressing concerns and ensuring comfort and safety.
• Maintains a sterile field throughout procedures and adheres to infection control protocols.
• Anticipates the needs of the surgical team and provides instruments and supplies promptly.
• Monitors the patient's condition during surgery and notifies the surgeon of significant changes.
• Handles instruments, sterilization, and disposal according to protocols.
• Documents all aspects of patient care in the perioperative setting.
• Participates in handoff communication pre- and post-operatively.
