Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for a critical access hospital in Maine. The role requires OR circulating experience, ME or compact RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and 2+ years in OR or equivalent across specialties.

Responsibilities include circulating cases in a 3-OR unit with 25 beds, handling various procedures, and supporting pre-op/PACU learning during callback shifts. A comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (ME state or compact) required.
• Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required; 1 year considered if experienced in all specialties offered.
• Experience circulating case types listed above required.
• Comfortable monitoring cardiac telemetry and interpreting rhythms; willing to learn pre-op/PACU duties.

Responsibilities

• Circulate cases in a 3-OR hospital with one GI endoscopy room and 25 beds.
• Circulate general surgery, ortho, podiatry, GYN/OB, endoscopic and urology procedures.
• No robotics, high-level trauma, or neuro cases; 8–10 cases per day on average.
• Care for patients pre- and post-operatively during callback shifts.
