Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for a 13-week teaching hospital assignment in Minnesota. Requires active MN RN license, BLS, at least 1 year OR experience, and strong orthopedic specialty skills.

Travel nursing experience and willingness to float within the hospital are a plus. You will scrub and assist across multiple specialties using Epic/Excellian; shifts include day or evening, with weekend and occasional on-call.

Qualifications

Active or pending MN RN license required.
BLS certification required.
Minimum 1 year of recent OR experience required.
Strong orthopedic surgical experience required.
Community hospital experience required.
Epic/Excellian charting experience required.
Prior travel nursing experience required.
Experience in specialties such as vascular, gynecology, plastics, general OR, trauma, podiatry, orthopedic, cardiovascular, general surgery, urology, robotics, bariatrics, and neurology preferred.
1 supervisor reference required for consideration.
Date of birth, SSN, and RTO information required for consideration.

Responsibilities

Operating Room unit in an acute care teaching hospital with Level 3 trauma designation.
Day shift (5x8, 6:45a-2:45p) or Evening shift (5x8, 2:45p-11:15p) with multiple possible start times.
Weekend shifts required as needed.
On-call required on an as-needed basis.
Floating required within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital as needed.
Uses Epic (Excellian) EMR system.
Scrubs are provided by the facility.
Responsibilities include scrubbing and assisting in a wide range of surgical procedures across multiple specialties.
Experience with electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources/cords, and Hana Table preferred.
Local candidates accepted only if within 100 miles of the facility; all other candidates must reside outside a 100-mile radius.
Returning travelers must have been gone at least 3 months since their last shift worked as a perm (staff or per diem) employee.
RTO ideally no more than 5 days.
