Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel assignment in Canton, Mississippi. The 13-week contract offers 40 hours per week, days shifts, and a supportive healthcare network.

The ideal candidate has RN licensure, 18 months of Acute Care Surgery experience, BLS & ACLS, and is prepared to join a team focused on perioperative patient care and safety. Travel stipends and housing options are provided.

Qualifications

• Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care Surgery setting.
• Active RN License.
• Degree from an accredited nursing program.
• BLS & ACLS Certifications.
• Other requirements to be determined by our client facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide surgical patient care by assessing, planning, and implementing the nursing care before, during and after surgery.
• Act as patient educator, circulating nurse and/or scrub nurse in the OR.
• Circulating OR nurses work within the operating suite outside the sterile field; scrub nurses prepare instruments.
