Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a traveling OR nurse (RN) for a position in Cedar Rapids, IA. The role involves circulating and/or scrub responsibilities with potential RN first assistant duties.

A minimum of 1–2 years of acute care experience in the operating room is required, along with BLS/ACLS certifications. As an OR travel nurse, you will support surgeons and staff, provide pre- and post-operative education, and handle instruments and patient care as needed.

Qualifications

• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• 2 years of acute care experience as circulating nurse, scrub nurse, or RN first assistant.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds in the OR.

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative patient care before, during, and after surgery.
• Assist physicians and staff in caring for surgical patients.
