Job summary

TotalMed is seeking a travel nurse RN for the Operating Room in Waterloo, Iowa. This role involves assisting physicians, monitoring patient care during surgeries, and providing pre- and post-operative education.

The ideal candidate has 1-2 years of recent acute-care experience and relevant certifications. The position offers guaranteed hours, weekly pay, and benefits starting from day one.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years recent acute-care experience as a circulating or scrub nurse, and/or RN first assistant.
• BLS, NIH certifications required.
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians in caring for surgical patients.
• Prepare instruments for specific surgical procedures.
• Monitor and observe the patient during surgery.
• Administer and record prescribed medication.
