Job summary

TotalMed is seeking travel OR RN nurses for an immediate opening in Santa Rosa, California. The role focuses on circulating, scrub, and potentially RN first assistant duties in the Operating Room. Requires 1–2 years of recent acute care experience as circulating or scrub nurse; BLS and additional certifications may be required.

The assignment runs 26 weeks with 36 hours per week on a night shift. Travel status and tax-free stipends are typical, with benefits and weekly pay through TotalMed RN.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years recent acute care experience as a circulating nurse and/or scrub nurse, potentially RN first assistant.
• BLS certification required; additional certifications may be required before assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications; report adverse reactions.
• Serve as liaison between patients' families and the operating team.
• Ensure correct procedure is performed on the correct patient.
• Initiate patient education plan and teach home care needs.
