Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a 13-week travel assignment in Omaha, NE. The role involves 12-hour nights, 36 hours per week, and a dynamic surgical team environment.

The OR RN will prepare the operating room, assist with patient positioning, manage instruments, and uphold infection control standards to ensure safe, high-quality perioperative care.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as an Operating Room RN.
• Current RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• ACLS (AHA/ARC), PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certifications are preferred.
• OR Nursing Certification (CNOR) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the operating room and ensures instruments and supplies are ready.
• Assists in positioning and prepping patients for surgery.
• Maintains a sterile field and follows infection control procedures.
• Anticipates needs of the surgical team and provides instruments and supplies.
• Monitors patient condition during surgery and documents changes.
